Kelowna Rockets down Blazers in Kamloops

KAMLOOPS – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Kamloops Blazers 5-2 on Saturday night in Kamloops, winning both halves of a home and home series between the two teams this weekend.

Justin Kirkland scored two goals and added an assist while Tyson Baillie had a goal and an assist in the Rocket win.

Rourke Chartier scored his 43rd goal of the season and Dillon Dube also scored in the win as the Rockets improved to 41-8-3-1 on the season,

Jake Morrissey made 27 saves in earning the win as the Rockets outshot the Blazers 34-29 in the game.

Kelowna now moves on to a Monday afternoon game, hosting the Prince George Cougars in a special 2 p.m. start on  Monday.
