Rain today, but Kamloops should enjoy a nice weekend

There are a few showers in the Kamloops forecast today, but things should clear up in time for a sunny weekend with pleasant seasonal temperatures.

Increasing clouds this morning are expected to be followed by showers before noon, with the chance of a thundershower in the afternoon.

Today should be considerably cooler than it has been, with a high of 23 Celsius and a low of 12 C expected.

There’s a 60 per cent chance of showers overnight before skies clear to a sun and cloud mix on Friday.

Friday’s high should reach 24 C with a low to 13 C.

The weekend looks promising with a forecast calling for sunny skies on Saturday and Sunday, with highs of 27 C and 29 C respectively.

Overnight lows should dip to 12 C on Saturday and 15 C on Sunday.

Monday should see the sun return with a high to 31 C and a low of 16 C.

A mix of sun and cloud is forecast for Tuesday with a high of 26 C and a low of 14 C.

More sun and cloud is expected Wednesday, with a high of 24 C.

Kamloops’ normal high and low for early August is 29 C and 14 C.
