Resource to track COVID-19 exposure in Interior Health

With the number of  COVID-19 cases growing in B.C., health authorities have launched a resource that will allow people to find out where an exposure may have occurred.

Interior Health, along with Fraser Health and Vancouver Coastal Health, will now post public warnings on its website that include dates, times, and locations of possible exposures.

Thus far on the Interior Health site, seven exposures are listed including Fossello’s,  Browns Social House, Water Street Cactus Club, Discovery Bay Resort, Boyce Gyro Beach Lodge and Pace Spin Studio in Kelowna. Also included is Crazy Cherry Fruit Company in Oliver.

All have been previously announced and will be removed from the list one month after the last exposure date, and then archived.

“Public Health asks anyone who may have visited any of the locations listed on the specified dates and times to monitor themselves for symptoms,” the Interior Health resource states.

"If people remain healthy and do not develop symptoms, there is no need to self-isolate and people can continue with their usual daily activities. If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, please seek testing and then self-isolate. Please call ahead and wear a mask when seeking testing."

If you have been identified as a COVID-19 case or close contact, please know that Public Health will contact you directly and provide further instruction.
