iN PHOTOS: Check out these amazing shots of the last supermoon of 2020

If you opted to stay inside last night and didn't see the so-called Flower Moon, you missed the last supermoon of the year. Luckily, local photographers were out and snapped some pictures of the phenomenon.

The Flower Moon yesterday, May 7, was the last in the spring series of supermoons, according to The Old Farmer’s Almanac. It has also been known as the Mother’s Moon, Milk Moon and Corn Planting Moon.

It was slightly further from the earth than the Pink Super Moon in April, but still provided an opportunity for professional and amateur photographers to get some stunning shots.

Sterling Tresierra captured this photo of the full moon near Clinton.

Kimberly Lovatt-Jones snapped this unobstructed photo of the moon in Vernon.

Merlyn Guilderson managed to get this photo of the moon, which looks especially serene in contrast to Kelowna's city lights.

This photo was captured from Okanagan Mountain in Peachland by Johnny Smoke.
