Sarah McLachlan stopping in Kelowna on comeback tour
Canadian icon Sarah McLachlan is making a stop in Kelowna during her Fumbling Towards Ecstasy anniversary tour.
She’ll be at Prospera Place on Oct. 17 and tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. on April 25. She is going to be joined by Tiny Habits for all 17 tour dates.
Nearly half a year after the “Possession” singer-songwriter was forced to scrap the Canadian leg to recover from acute laryngitis, she rescheduled the show dates and added several new ones.
She is starting off her tour on Oct. 15 at Victoria’s Save On Foods Memorial Centre, and making stops all the way across the country.
The Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary Tour celebrates McLachlan’s third studio album, which includes the songs “Ice Cream” and “Good Enough.”
Last fall, McLachlan was forced to cancel shows — first in the United States and a few weeks later in Canada — as she took a vocal rest to recover from laryngitis. At the time, she said she was “truly devastated” to cancel her Canadian dates.
“I’m fully recovered and recharged and can’t wait to share the Fumbling Towards Ecstasy 30th Anniversary tour with my home country, and maybe a few new songs as well,” McLachlan said Thursday in a press release.
Last month, McLachlan appeared on the Junos broadcast in Vancouver to present fellow East Coast native Anne Murray with a lifetime achievement award.
Tickets go on sale Friday, April 25 and you can buy them here.
