Nolan Foote met by Kelowna Rockets teammates on return from World Juniors

Nolan Foote arrived home from his World Junior’s win to a golden greeting.

The Kelowna Rockets captain's flight home arrived shortly before midnight Monday and his Western Hockey League teammates met him with cheers and hugs.

He thanked them all and finally pulled out the gold medal from his jacket which was met with applause.

The defenceman was part of the Team Canada's gold medal winning team at the IIHF World Junior Championships in Ostrava, Czech Republic. Foote, a draft pick for the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning, is expected to return to the Rockets.
