Accident sends elderly pedestrian to hospital

VERNON – An elderly male pedestrian has been sent to hospital after being hit by a car on 30th Avenue Tuesday morning.

According to Const. Gordon Molendyk, the accident happened near the Schubert Centre between 35th Street and Alexis Park Drive.

“It appears to have been not too serious," he says. "But he has been taken to the hospital to be checked out.”
