Kelowna RCMP are investigating a Sunday morning shooting in Rutland that left at least one person injured.
A man arrived at Kelowna General Hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds early in the morning on Jan. 19, according to a press release from police.
Police began an investigation and officers ended up at a home in the 200-block of Asher Road. RCMP called in the Southeast District Emergency Response Team.
“We believe this incident to be targeted and does not pose a risk to public safety,” Cpl. Michael Gauthier Kelowna said in the release. “The investigation remains ongoing and in order to protect its integrity, no further information will be provided at this time.”
