RCMP seek witnesses to assault outside downtown Kelowna nightclub

Police are looking for witnesses to an assault outside a downtown Kelowna nightclub during the bar flush last week.

RCMP officers were flagged down by pedestrians just after 2 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 3, according to an RCMP media release.

Police say an assault had occurred in front of the Liquid Zoo nightclub in the 200 block of Lawrence Avenue and a man was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. At the time of the assault, liquor establishments were closing and people were flooding the streets, police say.

RCMP say there may have been witnesses to the assault, and investigators would like to speak to them, as well as anyone who may have captured the assault in photos or on video.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300.
