Bombardier Inc. (TSX:BBD.B). Aerospace, rail equipment. Up 15 cents, or 6.38 per cent, to $2.50 on 16.9 million shares.
Encana Corp. (TSX:ECA). Oil and gas. Up 22 cents, or 1.35 per cent, to $16.50 on 5.1 million shares.
Royal Bank of Canada (TSX:RY). Bank. Up $2.75, or 3.66 per cent, to $77.80 on 4.5 million shares.
North American Palladium Ltd. (TSX:PDL). Miner. Up five cents, or 13.70 per cent, to 41.5 cents on 4.1 million shares.
BlackBerry Ltd. (TSX:BB). Communication equipment, services. Up 26 cents, or 2.03 per cent, to $13.07 on 3.8 million shares.
Toronto-Dominion Bank (TSX:TD). Bank. Up 66 cents, or 1.24 per cent, to $53.93 on 3.8 million shares.

Hudson’s Bay Co. (TSX:HBC). Retail. Up $4.38, or 19.74 per cent, at $26.57 on 3.1 million shares. The company announced it was joining with two major real estate trusts — Toronto-based RioCan (TSX:REI.UN), up 27 cents, or 0.93 per cent, to $29.20 on 647,364 shares) and Indianapolis-based Simon Property Group (NYSE:SPG) — to create two real estate joint ventures. HBC estimates it will get $1.1 billion in cash from the transactions over time.
