Eldorado Gold Corp. (TSX:ELD). Miner. Down 92 cents, or 13.11 per cent, to $6.10 on 18.5 million shares.
Yamana Gold Inc. (TSX:YRI). Miner. Up 17 cents, or 3.34 per cent, to $5.26 on 9.7 million shares.
B2Gold Corp. (TSX:BTO). Miner. Up five cents, or 2.04 per cent, to $2.50 on 5.9 million shares.
Whitecap Resources Inc. (TSX:WCP). Miner. Up 70 cents, or 5.98 per cent, to $12.41 on 5.7 million shares.

Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (TSX:CM). Down $3.19, or 3.49 per cent, to $88.18 on 2.7 million shares. According to a report from the Wall Street Journal, the bank has laid off 500 employees over the past two weeks at a time when all of the country’s top lenders face a slowdown in consumer borrowing.
Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. (TSX:VRX). Drugs, health-care products. Down 46 cents, or 0.23 per cent, to $203.17 on 452,575 shares. The company has offered US$296 million in cash to buy the worldwide rights to the Provenge prostate cancer vaccine and other assets of U.S. drugmaker Dendreon Corp., which is in U.S. bankruptcy court. Quebec-based Valeant would be entitled to an unspecified breakup fee and expenses if it is outbid in a court-supervised auction that could take place in a couple of weeks.
