HANOVER, N.H. – A polar bear plunge, an ice sculpture contest, human dogsled and ski races are among the highlights of Dartmouth College’s Winter Carnival this year.
The carnival starts Thursday and runs through Sunday. The theme is “Ice Age: 250 Years of Winter,” and celebrates the college’s sestercentennial anniversary.
The carnival is organized each year by students on the Dartmouth Winter Carnival Council in partnership with the Collis Center for Student Involvement.
