RCMP ask public for help locating suspect after victim dies of stab wounds

NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. – RCMP are seeking the public’s help in identifying a suspect accused of stabbing a man to death in New Westminister, B.C.

Police with the city’s force responded to a call from the B.C. Ambulance Service around 10 p.m. Saturday.

Staff transported a victim to hospital, who died at 5:44 a.m. Sunday.

Police say witnesses spotted a man running from the scene (500 block of 3rd Ave.) after the attack.

The man is described as Asian, in his mid-20s, five feet five inches tall, with black hair and a muscular build.

Police are withholding the victim’s identity until family is notified.
