REVELSTOKE, B.C. – A portion of Highway 1 near Revelstoke, B.C., reopened early Saturday evening after being closed in both directions due to a vehicle incident.

DriveBC says the road between the east boundary of Mount Revelstoke National Park and the Albert Canyon chain-up area, which is about one kilometre east of the eastern boundary, is now cleared.

The vehicle incident occurred at Woolsey Creek Forest Service Road, about 29 kilometres east of Revelstoke, earlier in the day.

The road was closed in both directions and there was no detour available.
