Talisman Energy Inc. (TSX:TLM). Oil and gas. Up six cents, or 0.68 per cent, to $8.90 on 26.8 million shares.
Penn West Petroleum Ltd. (TSX:PWT). Oil and gas. Up 19 cents, or 8.09 per cent, to $2.54 on 11.5 million shares.
Whitecap Resources Inc. (TSX:WCP). Up $1.06, or 9.65 per cent, to $12.05 on nine million shares.
Suncor Energy Inc. (TSX:SU). Oil and gas. Up $2.70, or 8.18 per cent, to $35.71 on 7.5 million shares.
Canadian Oil Sands Ltd. (TSX:CNQ). Oil and gas. Up 75 cents, or 8.34 per cent, to $9.74 on 6.6 million shares.
Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp. (TSX:PRE). Oil and gas. Up $1.12, or 20.07 per cent, to $6.70 on 6.4 million shares.

Husky Energy Inc. (TSX:HSE). Oil and gas. Up $2.48, or 10.62 per cent, to $25.84 on 3.2 million shares. The company said its 2015 capital budget will be $3.4 billion, about $1.7 billion less than it expects to spend this year on major projects.
Sherritt International (TSX:S). Miner. Up 60 cents, or 26.43 per cent, to $2.87 on 6.3 million shares. The company is a major investor in Cuba and its stock took off after President Barack Obama detailed steps to begin normalizing relations with Cuba, including establishing a U.S. embassy in Havana and lifting many restrictions on travel and money transfers.
