Minnesota Wild offer season ticket holders 10 per cent interest to keep account during lockout

ST. PAUL, Minn. – The Minnesota Wild are offering season ticket holders 10 per cent interest in return if they keep their accounts paid in full during the NHL lockout and don’t request a refund.

The Wild announced Monday they’ll credit those season ticket holders for any cancelled games, plus 10 per cent interest on the dollar value of tickets for the lost games. That can be applied toward future games or subsequent season renewals. Credit will be issued when a new collective bargaining agreement is reached between the owners and players.

The lockout began late Saturday. The work stoppage is poor timing for the Wild as much as any other NHL team. They’ve reported the equivalent of about 4,000 new season tickets sold since stars Zach Parise and Ryan Suter were signed on July 4.
