Young inventors coming to Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn

DEARBORN, Mich. – More than 400 young people from the United States and Mexico are expected to showcase their solutions to everyday problems at the K-12 National Invention Convention and Entrepreneurship Expo in suburban Detroit.

The event will be held Thursday through Saturday at the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation in Dearborn.

Inventions will be displayed on the museum floor and judged Friday for prizes and recognition. Participants competed against more than 100,000 of their peers to get invitations to the event.

Lemelson Foundation program officer David Coronado says the conference “highlights the power of invention education.” The foundation is a sponsor of the convention and expo.

The event is presented by the Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation and Farmington, Connecticut-based United Technologies Corp.
