Washboard Union putting on free show in Kamloops
KAMLOOPS – A Canadian country band with millions of views on YouTube and several country music awards will be putting on a free show at Riverside Park tomorrow night.
Washboard Union will be hitting the stage at 7 p.m. tomorrow, July 24, to headline the Midsummer Music Jam.
Concertgoers can visit the family-friendly Brewloops beer gardens and grab some grub at one of the food trucks, which will be serving patrons from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. No need to worry about driving or parking, as the City of Kamloops and B.C. Transit are offering free transit from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. on all Kamloops bus routes.
The Midsummer Music Jam starts at 5 p.m. and runs until 9 p.m.
The band was formed when Kelowna raised step-brothers Aaron Grain and Chris Duncombe moved to Vancouver and lived in the same Tudor-style mansion as David Roberts, according to the band's website.
The trio began making music and has won multiple awards, including Group of the Year at the Canadian Country Music Awards in 2018.
