UPDATE: Highway 97 north of Vernon completely reopened

VERNON – Highway 97 north of Vernon has reopened after it was closed to traffic in both directions for a couple of hours this afternoon.

Drive B.C. says Highway 97 at Irish Creek Road, around 16 kilometres north of Vernon heading toward Falkland, has completely reopened traffic this afternoon, July 3.

The highway was closed for vehicle recovery, according to Drive B.C.

No other information about the vehicle incident is available at this time. iNFOnews.ca has reached out to Vernon RCMP and is waiting for more information.
