PENTICTON – The man accused of a brutal assault at a Penticton beach was granted bail.

Thomas Brayden Kruger-Allen, 21, faces counts of aggravated assault, breach, assault, and a count of sexual assault following an incident that took place at Okanagan Lake beach on May 3.

Kruger-Allen is alleged to have sexually assaulted a woman prior to assaulting Brad Eliason, who tried to intervene.

At the time of the incident he was out on bail on charges from another assault that took place on Aug 12, 2017.

Eliason has been hospitalized with a severe head injury since this incident.

Judge Michelle Daneliuk agreed to release Kruger-Allen on $5,000 bail in Penticton court today, June 24, under a list of conditions that include participating in counselling, a 10 p..m. to 6 a.m. curfew, and abstinence from liquor or drugs amongst other things.

Kruger-Allen’s next court appearance is slated for June 26.
