UPDATE: Second fire in West Kelowna taken down
WEST KELOWNA – There was another fire in West Kelowna this afternoon, and this time it was near the more densely populated Carrington Road.
Winds fanned the blaze that was sparked in a ravine between the West Kelowna McDonald's and Winners today, June 18. It grew to roughly 200 feet by 80 feet before it was put out by firefighters.
West Kelowna Fire Rescue chief Jason Brolund said the fire was human caused.
Earlier today, West Kelowan firefighters put out a blaze on lower Glenrosa Road.
