WINDSOR, Ont. – The Windsor Lancers held off a 14-point attack from Ottawa in the fourth quarter to beat the Gee-Gees 39-29 on Friday night in Canadian Interuniversity Sport football action.
Austin Kennedy threw for 227 yards and a touchdown for Windsor (5-1), and Tarrence Crawford, Beau Lumley and Nick Vincent all ran in for a touchdown apiece.
Derek Wendel threw for three touchdowns for Ottawa (4-3) but was intercepted twice. Bryce Vieira caught two touchdowns in the loss.
The Gryphons have won five straight games after dropping their season opener versus McMaster.
