VICTORIA – Jack Walker had a goal and two assists and Coleman Vollrath made 25 saves as the Victoria Royals downed the Portland Winterhawks 6-2 in Western Hockey League action on Monday.
Joe Hicketts, Austin Carroll and Regan Nagy had a goal and an assist apiece for the Royals (2-4-1), and Mitch Skapski and Matthew Campese also scored.
Oliver Bjorkstrand and Anton Cederholm replied for the Winterhawks (1-6-1) with third-period goals less than a minute apart.
Brendan Burke started in net for Portland and stopped 15 of 19 shots before being replaced by Adin Hill, who made 12 saves in relief.
