Vet plans to visit 84 Great Danes seized from woman’s home

OSSIPEE, N.H. – A woman who had 84 Great Danes seized from her New Hampshire home but has pleaded not guilty to animal cruelty charges has found someone to visit them.

Christina Fay is seeking control over the care of the dogs, which were seized in June. Authorities say the dogs were living in filth and suffering from sores and other health problems.

Fay was allowed to pick a veterinarian or veterinary technician to observe them.

The agreement was reached Thursday. It says a vet will visit the dogs on Monday, a day before a hearing is scheduled in the case. The location of the dogs is being kept confidential.

Fay’s trial is scheduled for Oct. 25.
