CHARLOTTETOWN – Dominic Larocque stopped all seven shots he faced for his fifth career shutout as Canada opened the World Sledge Hockey Challenge on Sunday with a 3-0 victory over Norway.
Greg Westlake and Ben Delaney gave the Canadians (1-0-0) a two-goal advantage in the first period. Bryan Sholomicki had the other in the second.
Kjell Christian Hamar made 18 saves in net for Norway (0-1-0).
Both teams went 0 for 2 on two power play.
Canada continues preliminary-round play on Monday night against South Korea, which fell 4-0 to the United States earlier Sunday.
