2007 Clinton office hostage-taker has bank robbery hearing

MANCHESTER, N.H. – A man convicted of taking hostages at a Hillary Clinton presidential campaign office in 2007 is scheduled to appear in New Hampshire court Wednesday for a hearing on a bank robbery charge.
Leeland Eisenberg was arrested earlier this month in Manchester. The 55-year-old parolee from Concord is charged with robbery and possession of a controlled drug.
Eisenberg spent at least two years behind bars for the five-hour standoff at Clinton’s Rochester campaign office in November 2007, during her first run for president.
Eisenberg claimed to have a bomb, but it turned out to be road flares. No one was hurt.
He was released on probation in 2009, but served prison time again for probation violations before he was paroled June 7.
