BANCROFT, Ont. – The court case of a Toronto Star columnist charged with assault has been postponed until next month.
Rosie DiManno wasn’t in the Bancroft, Ont., courthouse Tuesday but a lawyer appeared on her behalf.
Another court date has been scheduled for Aug. 23.
DiManno was charged with assault earlier this month in connection with an incident that allegedly took place July 12.
Ontario Provincial Police say DiManno, 60, and the alleged victim were visiting Wollaston, about 230 kilometres east of Toronto, when the assault occurred.
No details about the alleged victim have been released.
