Downtown Kamloops looking for support to expand Back Alley Art Gallery

KAMLOOPS — If you've ever walked through the back alleys of downtown Kamloops, you've probably noticed the various murals painted on several buildings.

There are currently 29 paintings part of the Back Alley Art Gallery program in downtown Kamloops. The outdoor gallery was started a few years ago to increase the livability and walkability of the downtown area.

Some of the most recent murals include a jazz-inspired piece by local artist Zach Abney and Jennilee Fraser located behind Zack's Coffee on Victoria Street.

The Downtown Kamloops Association is currently asking for the community to send in letters of support to continue expanding the number of murals.
