Labour talks between NHL and Players’ Association resume in Toronto

TORONTO – Talks have resumed between the NHL and NHL Players’ Association on a new collective bargaining agreement.

The sides kicked off three days of meetings at the NHLPA’s downtown Toronto office on Tuesday morning.

It’s the fifth straight week they’ve sat down together since negotiations commenced at the end of June.

The agenda is expected to be a little bit different this week, with “non-core economic issues” on the table.

Those include player safety, discipline and realignment.

The current CBA is set to expire on Sept. 15.
