WINNIPEG – The Winnipeg Jets have re-signed forward Chris Thorburn for three more years the night before NHL free agency begins.
The deal is worth $3.6 million, with an annual average salary of $1.2 million.
In 55 games last season with the Jets, the Sault Ste. Marie, Ont. native produced two goals, 11 points and 93 penalty minutes.
Thorburn was originally drafted by the Buffalo Sabres in 2001 and has spent the past seven seasons with Winnipeg — including four seasons in Atlanta with the Thrashers.
