LYTHAM ST. ANNES, England – Adam Scott has teed off in the final round of the British Open with a four-stroke lead.
Scott is attempting Sunday to win his first major title and become the fifth Australian to capture golf’s oldest championship. Scott has put up three straight rounds in the 60s at Royal Lytham & St. Annes for an 11-under 199 total.
Graeme McDowell is at 203 and playing in the final group with Scott. Brandt Snedeker is also at 203 after squandering his 36-hole lead with a 73 on Saturday.
Snedeker is playing in the next-to-last group with Tiger Woods, who failed to make up any ground with a 70 in the third round. He begins Sunday five shots off the lead in the quest for his 15th major title.
