WILD WEDNESDAY: The winter food habits of the B.C. mule deer

Although the colder winter weather in B.C. might be tough on some wildlife, including mule deer, these animals are more than capable of feeding themselves throughout the winter season, says WildSafeBC.

"Don't be fooled into thinking that (the deer) need our help," WildSafeBC says in a Facebook post. "The best way to keep wildlife wild and our communities safe is to minimize our interference in their daily existence."

Watch the footage below captured by WildSafeBC's trail cameras on the different types of plants deer eat and more.
