NIAGARA FALLS, Ont. – Brooke Henderson isn’t ruling out turning pro sooner rather than later after finishing as the top amateur at the U.S. Women’s Open.
But the 16-year-old from Smith’s Falls, Ont., says right now she remains committed to a scholarship at the University of Florida once she finishes high school.
Henderson finished 10th at the Open, which was won by another former teenage golf legend, Michelle Wie.
Henderson didn’t get much time to celebrate.
She’s competing in the second stop of the season for the Canadian Women’s Tour in Niagara Falls, Ont., this week.
