Third part of ‘De La Guarda’ trilogy, ‘Wyra,’ to open this summer at Daryl Roth Theatre in NYC

NEW YORK, N.Y. – First came “De La Guarda.” Then came “Fuerza Bruta.” Now the third part in the Argentinian multi-sensory trilogy has its sights set on a familiar New York stage.

Producers said Wednesday that “Wyra” will start playing at the Daryl Roth Theatre — where the other two shows found a home — on June 27 and have an opening night July 8. One twist this time is that the new show will have live music for the first time.

The new show is described as a natural evolution from “Fuerza Bruta,” which mixed dance, acrobatics and aerial imagery. The new 80-minute show will have some new elements, new sets and about 10 performers. Tickets will be $99.
