NEW YORK – Temple Grandin, the autism spokesperson, consultant on the treatment of animals and bestselling author, is working on a children’s book.
“Calling All Brains,” a “hands-on” book about “invention and innovation,” is scheduled to come out in 2018, Philomel Books told The Associated Press on Tuesday. The book will be based on more than 20 projects Grandin worked on as a child, according to Philomel, an imprint of Penguin Young Readers.
Grandin’s books include “Animals in Translation: Using the Mysteries of Autism to Decode Animal Behavior” and “Thinking in Pictures: Other Reports from My Life with Autism.” An HBO biopic, “Temple Grandin,” starred Claire Danes and won five Primetime Emmys.
