NEW YORK, N.Y. – Anyone who was hoping to catch a glimpse of the Tom Cruise-Katie Holmes divorce case in a New York City court next week should make other plans: A court date has been cancelled after a settlement was announced Monday.
The case had been on a court calendar for this coming Tuesday. But court system spokesman David Bookstaver says there now are no plans for the stars or their lawyers to be in court next week, and no court dates are currently scheduled.
Less than two weeks into a headline-dominating divorce case, Holmes and Cruise said Monday they had reached an agreement. Their lawyers and representatives wouldn’t disclose details.
The two married in Italy in 2006. They have a 6-year-old daughter, Suri.
