Wildfire crews attacking small fire near Kelowna International Airport

KELOWNA – B.C. Wildfire is battling a small fire north of Kelowna International Airport this evening.

The Postill Lake fire started sometime this afternoon, but officials couldn't be more specific yet about the time or size this early in the fight.

It's burning approximately six kms southwest of Lake Country. B.C. Wildfire fire information officer Jody Lucius says they have seven personnel and a helicopter hitting the fire. Water tankers were on scene and left but may be returning.

Kelowna International Airport said so far flights haven't been affected.
