Wildfire burns northwest of West Kelowna
WEST KELOWNA – B.C. Wildfire crews are working a fire northwest of West Kelowna near the Jackpine Lake forestry service road.
“We are responding with ground crews and air support,” fire information officer Nicole Bonnett says. The fire was spotted yesterday, July 8.
Crews on the ground are getting air support.
She did not know if any structures were threatened by the one-hectare wildfire approximately 15 kilometres northwest of West Kelowna, describing it as “a fairly difficult area to access.”
Bonnett did not know the rank of the fire but said more information would be available soon.
