KAMLOOPS – Several ceremonies will take place this Remembrance Day which comes on the heels of a nation-wide memorial for two soldiers murdered on Canadian soil in October.

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch 52 will be hosting a ceremony at the Riverside Park Cenotaph beginning at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11. It will include the mounting of the Guard of Honour and playing of the Last Post before a two minute silence begins at 11 a.m. Shortly afterwards the 419 Squadron out of Cold Lake, Alta. will do a fly past.

After all wreaths have been placed the parade will march to the 100 block of Victoria Street. Afterwards everyone is invited back to the legion on Lansdowne Street for refreshments and music.

There will also be a ceremony at the Tk’emlups te Secwepemc Cemetery at 200 Chicoltin St. beginning at 10:45 a.m.

The Cantabile Singers will once again perform at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church, 1136 6 Ave., at 7 p.m. The show incorporates readings and choral selections. Admission is by donation.
