UPDATE: Westside Road reopens following washout

WEST KELOWNA – For the second time this month, a washout closed part of Westside Road.

Westside Road was closed in both directions three kilometres north of Fintry today, May 9, after a night of heavy rains and increased spring runoff, according to Drive B.C.

The route has since reopened after being closed for most of the day.

The same road was partially closed May 1 after a landslide caused a washout in the Ewings Landing area between Killiney Beach and Fintry.

Check the Drive B.C. website for the latest road conditions.
