Kelowna sex show robber going to prison for a long time

KELOWNA – A Kamloops woman was sentenced to six years in jail today for her part in a bizarre 2016 robbery.

Heather Nystrom, 25, and Cal Little, 52, were arrested July 15, 2016, one day after they answered a classified ad looking for a couple to perform live sex acts inside someone’s home.

“They planned to advertise their services and intended to rob them,” Judge Jane Cartwright said in Kelowna Provincial Court today, May 1.

When Little and Nystrom showed up, Little pulled out a sawed-off shotgun and a knife and demanded money from the man who wanted to hire them.

The customer managed to escape unharmed, but a police report says $400 and a cell phone were taken.

The pair, who were homeless and living inside a rented vehicle at the time, were arrested in a convenience store parking lot.

Crown lawyer Angela Ross sought an eight-year sentence for Nystrom but Judge Cartwright said despite Nystrom being in possession of a loaded shotgun when they were arrested, Little took the majority of responsibility.

She was sentenced to six years, less time served, for armed robbery and assorted gun charges.

Little has yet to be sentenced.
