
Three vehicles damaged outside Vernon resort complex in suspected arson
VERNON – Police are investigating after three vehicles were damaged in a suspected arson over the weekend.
RCMP spokesperson Const. Kelly Brett says police were alerted to the fire by Vernon Fire and Rescue Services around 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 24.
“There was a vehicle lit on fire and subsequent to that two other vehicles were also damaged,” Brett says.
The vehicles were parked outside the Strand Lakeside Resort in the 7200 block of Okanagan Landing Road.
At this point, Brett says the incident is being treated as an act of arson.
No one was hurt and RCMP continue to investigate.
