VIDEO: Paragliding over the Okanagan Valley

WEST KELOWNA – A Northern B.C. man recently shared a perspective of the Okanagan normally reserved for birds.

Jacob Brunning uploaded a four-minute video this week showing some of the spectacular views of West Kelowna he gets while paragliding.

Kelowna Hike and Fly was filmed last fall around Trader's Cove above Westside Road and includes footage of Okanagan Lake and the surrounding mountains.

"It is a great morning site," he says. "The sunrise, with the lake and bridge in the distance."

Brunning, an avid paraglider from Golden, returns to earth at the Trader's Cove parking lot.

"The landing is challenging if you're not confident," he says.
