Most popular dog names and breeds of 2017 in the North Okanagan
VERNON – Move over Fido and Spot, there are some new dog names on the block.
The North Okanagan is full of dog lovers, and licensing records show many of them think alike when it comes to naming their pooches.
In 2017, the most common names of licensed dogs in the North Okanagan were, in order:
- Bella
- Bailey
- Buddy
- Maggie
- Molly
- Charlie
- Max
- Sadie
- Cooper
- Daisy
Animal control has also revealed the top most popular dog breeds in the North Okanagan. They are, in order:
- Labrador retriever
- Shih Tzu
- Shepherd
- Poodle
- Terrier
