Milder weather in the forecast for Kamloops this weekend

KAMLOOPS – Above normal temperatures are expected in Kamloops this weekend, with the mercury climbing past the freezing mark on Saturday.

Until then, the Environment Canada forecast calls for colder weather with flurries and maybe even some ice pellets.

We are in for a cloudy day today, with a 40 per cent chance of flurries in the morning and a high of -5 Celsius. There is a 30 per cent chance of flurries or ice pellets late this evening and overnight with the temperature remaining steady around -5 C.

Tomorrow plan for an overcast sky, a brisk easterly wind and a high of -1 C. Overnight the forecast calls for a 60 per cent chance of flurries with a low of -2 C.

On Saturday the weather will warm up with a high of 1 C under a cloudy sky. There will be some clearing overnight with the low down to -1 C.

The clouds will be back on Sunday with a daytime high of 0 C and an overnight low of -2 C.

Normal temperatures for this time of year are highs of -1 C and lows of -8 C.
