Kelowna robbery suspect still at large

KELOWNA – Police have released more photographs of the man they say robbed a Kelowna grocery store with a knife several months ago.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says RCMP were notified of a robbery in progress at the M&M Food Market on Harvey Avenue shortly before 5 p.m. Oct. 15.

He says witnesses told police the suspect entered the store, brandished a knife, demanded money and fled on foot with cash and a customer's purse. An earlier release says he escaped on either a bicycle or in a vehicle.

An image of the suspect was released to the media and featured on Kelowna Crime Stoppers, however he has not been identified.  

“The Kelowna RCMP General Investigations Section is looking to further their investigation,” O’Donaghey says in a media release. “Additional screen shot images captured from the store's video surveillance footage are now being released in the hopes of generating tips from the public.”

The suspect was described to police as a Caucasian male in his thirties, approximately 5’7", wearing light blue jeans, a black hoodie with white lettering underneath a black wind breaker jacket, a grey and white baseball hat and white shoes.
