Looking for a forever home; Kamloops SPCA pet of the week

KAMLOOPS – Gracie is a large dog who was initially fearful, especially of men, but once she gets to know you she's very social and playful.

Animal care attendant Lindsay Stewart says Gracie needs to be introduced to people and new situations slowly, so a more quiet environment and gentle handling is best for her.

Gracie would do best in a home with older teens or no children at all.

Once she gets past her fearfulness, she is quick to bond with a guardian, therefore, she may get anxious when left alone and does have the tendency to chew things. She will need to get used to spending time alone slowly a few minutes at a time.

Gracie is looking for a patient guardian who can spend lots of time with her. She will be a loyal companion to a lucky guardian.

A behaviour counselling session with the adoption staff at the Kamloops branch of the B.C. SPCA is necessary before adopting any animal to ensure success in the new home.

For more information about Gracie go to the B.C. SPCA Kamloops Branch website here. Her animal ID number is 447752.
