Vernon road construction update

27 Street and 48 Avenue

Crews from SLR Consulting will be collecting groundwater samples at the intersection of 27 Street and 48 Avenue September 23 and 24.

Work will take place at night and one lane in each direction will be kept open at all times.

Birdie Lake Drive

Crews will be installing water and sanitary mains on Birdie Lake Drive between September 24 and November 11.

Single-lane alternating traffic is expected during the proposed works.

Please obey all signs and flaggers.

27 Street from Highway 6 to 30 Avenue

Road closures will be in effect on 27 Street from Highway 6 to 30 Avenue from 3 a.m. to 2 p.m. on September 22 for the installation of utility service.

The road will be closed to all northbound traffic and southbound traffic will be reduced to single lane.

Please expect delays or use alternate routes for travel until work is completed.
