Bidding frenzy expected as Local Holiday ON-LINE Auction comes to a close

SOUTH OKANAGAN SIMILKAMEEN, BC (Wed Dec 6, 2017). The South Okanagan Similkameen Volunteer Centre Holiday Season ON-LINE Auction is ending Sunday Dec. 10 at 12 Midnight. More bidders are continuing to join in during the auction’s last few days and hours.

A most popular bidding item is AREA 27 Laps where Bill Drossos, President and Founder of Area 27 will take you, as a passenger, around the Track for a session during the 2018 season on an Open Member Track day.

Very popular among bidders are 3 nights at an Apex Condo and a state of the art Sonicare DiamondClean Smart that links to your smart phone through bluetooth and its SMART SENSORS give pressure, location and scrubbing readout.

Demonstrating their support for Volunteerism, by providing auction items the public can bid on, are several officials.  MP Richard Cannings is offering an early morning bird watching for a group of up to 6 people. MP Dan Albas, MLA Dan Ashton, Mayor Andrew Jakubeit and Police Superintendent De Jager are all offering their time in support of volunteerism and the public is invited to bid on a lunch for two with any of these officials.  Fire Chief Larry Watkinson is offering a ride to school or work on a Penticton Fire Truck.

Also popular among bidders include auction items from local businesses such as car detailing, handyman services, gift baskets and yoga and fitness classes.

Auction proceeds support volunteer programs, informing residents of where volunteers are needed and promoting volunteerism and its benefits to the community.
