Kamloops RCMP searching for man who grabbed teen girl downtown

KAMLOOPS – Police are asking for the public's help to find a man who allegedly grabbed a teenage girl downtown.

Yesterday afternoon, Dec. 6, at approximately 2:30 p.m., a 15-year-old girl was walking northbound on 9 Avenue between South Kamloops Secondary and Lloyd George Elementary when a man grabbed her by the arm, Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Jodi Shelkie says in a news release.

The girl pulled her arm away from the suspect and ran down to Columbia Street where she was meeting her father.

Shelkie says both officers and the victim's father search for the man but he was not located.

The suspect is described as Caucasian, approximately 50 years old with no facial hair. He was wearing a black toque, black hoodie and baggy brown pants.

If you have any information on this incident, or the suspect, you're asked to contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
